Can Thailand pressure Burma?

I keep hearing about how China could (but won't, let's face it) pressure Burma about its violent crackdown of recent weeks, but what about its immediate neighbor, Thailand? Bangkok Pundit points out that in a recent statement about the role of Russia, India, and China in forcing change in Burma, Thailand's defense minister left out his own country.

A sizable omission: According to the CIA, 22 percent of Burma's imports come from Thailand, but a whopping 49 percent of its exports go to Thailand -- more than India, China, and Japan combined.
